Advances in Material Research in the Past and Next Decade

In the past decade, major breakthroughs have been made in all aspects of material research, covering almost all material types. For instance, graphene , the value of which was not recognized initially, has been found to be potentially valuable in many electronic applications such as solar cells, transistors, camera sensors, digital screens, and semiconductors. Besides, research on other materials such as metals, bulk metallic glasses, high-performance alloys, ceramics and glass has been also intensified. Materials that developed quickly in the past 10 years Because composite materials and hybrid materials can withstand harsh environments, such as bulk materials, composite materials, and coating materials, they have been widely used in appropriate applications. Advances in coating technology have improved reliability of composite materials, contributing to their use in thermal protection and environmental protection systems. In more and more scenarios, layered material systems are r...

Alfa Chemistry Starts to Supply Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines for Multiple Applications

Porphyrins and phthalocyanines are synthetic dyes with unique molecular structures .  Earlier this month, Alfa Chemistry announces that it starts to supply a wide range of porphyrins and phthalocyanines  for customers worldwide. These two kinds of chemicals can serve multiple roles in different scenarios, either as photosensitizers in photodynamic therapy of cancer, or as catalysts and photocatalysts in different reactions, or as good systems to generate free radical and excited state species. Porphyrins constitute a class of the molecules which contain four pyrrole rings linked by the methine bridges, whereas the phthalocyanine molecules   are composed of four indole units—pyrrole rings linked by nitrogen atoms conjugated with benzene rings. Porphyrins and phthalocyanines are not only important biomolecules, they also find numerous technological and scientific applications. “The structures, chemical characteristics, optical properties, and photo-physical/photoch...

Alfa Chemistry Materials Enriched Its Supply of High Purity Materials

The research, development, and production of advanced technologies has uplifted the requirements on the materials to be used. Not only properties or performance, but also purity of these materials are greatly emphasized. Considering this, Alfa Chemistry Materials  recently announces that it is planning to enrich its supply of high purity materials . After the plan is fully implemented, multiple high purity and ultra-high purity materials, such as metals or magnetic, thermoelectric and semiconducting materials, will be available. High purity materials refer to a claimed purity of 99.9 percent or even greater. These highly pure materials are widely applied. For example, metals with high purity can be used in the creation of fluorescent lighting, plasma screens, LEDs, high-precision lenses and optics, electronic sensors, advanced ceramics, thermal barrier coatings, lasers, and more. “In terms of purity level, the high purity materials provided by our company are generally ranging...
